Anybody starting in 2013? Need to make new friends

I'm studying health studies and the city campus and I only live in walsall so don't see the point of wasting money on accommodation b just worried I won't make any friends. Is there anyone in the same position as me or just wanting to make new friends?

Don't worry, as long as you're sociable and mix with your class, you'll make loads of friends.

I'm a first year at the moment and there are loads of commuters on our course, we all get along fine

oh really. i'll be studying social work at the city campus. i think it was a very gooood idea to move away from home for the first year, cause it gives you the full uni experience. and you make more friends if you stay in halls and such (well thats what people who are already in uni say)

I've never actually seen Chambers 51... is it really nice. What made you choose it over victoria halls? cause i'm just really curious now, might go check it out too. see what its like and stuff

Yeah I'll be living in accommodation as I live in Nottingham and don't want to have to be catching trains 24/7! I think you've done the best thin - it may cost more to live in halls but you'll meet more people and you'll get the proper uni experience!

own kitchen in your room? woow that sounds like a studio place.
I want my room to be en-suite but not studio cause i wanna be able to socialise with my flat mates and stuff and if its a studio then theres less chances of that cause everyone has what they need in their rooms. my cousin's friend has a studio, and she says its very queit you hardly see anyone. i'm too crazy and social for queitness lol. I want to get a shared kitchen but an ensuite room, which is what i'll do. x
