I asked my self that question....and gave myself no answer. I don't know, but I wish I did. Not understanding the ending of an epic story KILLS me :s-smilie:

Well this is what I guess it means...after a long discussion...
The audience (and the writer) is asked what version of the two he would like to believe in? The almost unbelievable tale with God in it or the more believable human version of it (or a mixture of the two)? The writer himself chooses the unbelievable story.
Well is that symbolic of the world we live in? Some people believe in the supernatural and that they are helped by a higher power but some sticks onto the more believable story with no God or anything supernatural. Both sides have its own advantages and disadvantages. Its like the film or the book asked its readers or audience to clearly answer what they would like to believe in. :biggrin:
