Surely it's cos4A = 1 - 2sin^2 2A ? :s

That's the same thing. I posted the general formula in its simplest form.

yo i got a question for you, how do i know if something is an overestimate or underestimate?

If talking about trapezium rule:

If the tops of the trapezia are above the curve, there is an overestimate, and if the trapezia are below the curve, it is an underestimate.

Is this when using the trapezium rule?
can someone tell me what shapes we need to know the area/volume of?
i've asked a few times but no response, don't wanna have to skip a whole question on the exam because i don't know the area/volume of something basic

Hope this helps:

hey thanks, I don't understand from the 5th step!! why do you have to make it all into ln(2)?

nope lol give up :tongue:

I'm asking you what the question is, just so you know. That's not my answer :tongue:

Will we need to be able to sketch the graphs of parametric equations???

In the specification it specifies that we are not expected to sketch graphs of parametric equations but it's Edexcel so better be on the safe side!

My Edexcel brahs, I hope the exam goes well for you lot tomorrow.

I highly doubt you would get a paper like C3. Just smash this paper and you have your A in the bag :tongue:

Thanks brah. :biggrin:

Is that:

x3ex2x^3 e^{x^2}

or

x3ex2x^{3^{e^{x^2}}}

Or something else?

oops the first one :tongue:
Good luck guys, time to freaking dominate C4 and get them grades for uni!

It seems to have been already answered above by someone else :tongue:

Hint: sin2xcos2x=(12sin2x)2sin^2xcos^2x =( \frac{1}{2}sin2x )^2

Still stuck :/

What is everyone doing for last minute C4 revision? I feel as though ive covered everything but does anyone have any ideas of good things to quickly look over ? :frown::frown::frown: Please help - starting to panic
Original post by justinawe
No, it doesn't work that way.

cos2A=12sin2A\cos 2A = 1 - 2\sin^2 A

This is for all A. In this case, subbing in A=2t gives:

cos4t=12sin22t\cos 4t = 1 - 2\sin^2 2t

I swear cos2A = 1-2sin^2A?

Original post by justinawe
Yes, that's right. typo, my bad. Thanks for that :tongue:

but then isnt this wrong? :s-smilie:

EDIT nevermind, i read it wrong :')

oops the first one :tongue:

If its differentiation then its rather straightforward, I'll have to think a little for integration though.

Just remain calm as if you've covered everything then that's all you can do, now getting a good nights rest before the exam would be very advisable by myself as you'll be both physically and mentally prepared :smile:
