Value for GdCl3??

Just Google dy and 85 and see what comes up

Then use that to find the corresponding value for GdCl3 its a small number

I got through the first three quickly

Total coincidence I was reading about paramagnetism and stuff

Anyway, no clue about the names... Like I swear it's just a Substitution reaction lol

It would be SN2 if the reagent was an excess of ammonia, but the reactant is potassium phthalimide.
Original post by oadf
any why does everyone else list the temp for Dy as 88, whereas the question says 85?

I entered mine with 85.

I just searched Postassium phthalimide, eventually got to the answer. The last one is a little harder, but with the same process you'll eventually get it.

Is the first one s-a in terms of initials?

How do I find the third name?
How many sig figs do you need on Rg?

You were right the first time, the second and third name are one double barrelled name. There are two reactions.

The Gabriel one? Or the sigma aldrich

Gabriel

Okay, so the next one is for the bottom reaction, and it's double barrel and not sigma

Leuckart not working :frown:

Help me on Gold, so
I can try to help you
type in the reagents into google for Gold. First reaction has 1 word; second reaction is double barrelled. First reaction's name is easiest found by typing in the reagent and amine :-)

Rounded to the nearest whole number is acceptable.
