Really hoping daycare doesn't come up!

Daycare hasn't come up in years. It's likely it will be in the exam in a few hours :frown:

Can a 12 maker come up on 'influence of research into attachment and day care'

Maybe not with exactly that wording, but something along those lines. Especially with daycare as it hasn't been in exam papers for a few years

I'd like that one too!

It sounds sad, but I always remember it because at the time we were learning it, I was watching a TV series - 'The Fall' and The first episode of the series had the cognitive interview in it.

Yeah, Clarke-Stewart et al. (1994) - daycare is positive with peer realtions
2 on A NICHD - (2003) one suggesting that daycare causes aggression, the other, (2004) aggression is lower in kids attending daycare

When answering the question on misleading information on EWT, is one research study enough for a 12 marker?

One study is enough, only need it for 6 marks so Loftus and Palmer's study on misleading questions is enough, just need to make it very detailed
I reaaally hope day care doesnt come up as the 12 marker or else i'm dead

Studies suggesting that daycare has negative effects on aggression:
Durkin (1995)
A NICHD (2003
Egeland & Hiester (1995)

Studies suggesting that daycare has positive effects on aggression:
Hagekull and Bohlin (1995)
A NICHD (2004)
Doherty (1996)

Studies suggesting that daycare has negative effects on peer relations:
Guralnick et al. (1996)
Vliestra (1981)
Vandell and Corsaniti (1990)

Studies suggesting that daycare has positive effects on peer rlations:
Clarke-Stewart et al. (!994)
Rubenstein & Howes (1983)
Hartup & Moore (1990)

These are the ones I learnt
This exam is going to be so easy.

For this 'How research into attachment has influenced childcare practices' what do we talk about? I guess this isnt the one where we talk about peer relations and aggression etc.
I'm hungry
Is anyone else really hungry?

what are some evaluation points for disruption of attachment?

also what are some evaluaion points for influence into attachment and day care?

Skeels and Skodak found that when a group of institutionalized children who were taken to a home for mentally retarded adults were compared to a control group who stayed in the orphanage... transferred groups IQ had risen ... Due to high levels of substitute emotional care.

Daycare on aggression = only correlation so can't establish cause and effect

You could mention some implications into daycare on the ones specific to attachments such as Belsky and Rovine (1988). Robertson and Robertson (1971) and the implications of their research.
