It is odd to conflate the Black Lives Matter campaign with something like the Black Panthers in the way she did as well. The latter were a segregationist organisation that believed Black people could not mix with whites.

Not true at all. The Black Panthers welcomed the support of white far-leftists, and often worked with them. In fact they had a sister organisation, the White Panther Party, specifically for white supporters, and Fred Hampton, the Panthers' deputy chairman (later murdered by the Nixon administration) founded a multiethnic umbrella group called Rainbow Coalition including white, Hispanic and Native American socialist organisations.

I, personally, thought Beyonce did a great job in making her statement the way she did. Yes, The Black Panthers might have had several members who strayed from the main ideology but there are*two sides to every coin. The Black Panthers were created as a response to what the founding members felt as the oppression of the African American community in their time. The Black Lives Matter was created to raise awareness about the issues surrounding police brutality and young African American men. The two movements still have the same message at their core, raising awareness for issues they find themselves faced with. No, Beyonce is not a racist. If you didn't understand her message then fair enough maybe it did not apply to you. However to take a create a statement the way she did and to do it in such a publicised manner took a lot of guts.

You are lacking basic maths, the amount of first generation immigration is not even close to the amount of African Americans so naturally the crime statistics would be lower.
i see a lot of you are downplaying what 400 years of brutal treatment can do to a race mentally and psychologically if the roles were reversed white people would be in exact same position you really think everything would be fine and dandy after what 50 years your talking about people who have been denied their access to jobs and a decent life for centuries.

America isn't 400 years old so you're exaggerating. In the lifetime of the majority of African Americans they have no been 'brutally treated' so your point is nonsense. Just out of interest what's your view on Israel with regard to the Israel/Palestine situation?

Do you really think everything would be fine and dandy after what 50 years? These are people who have been denied their access to jobs and a decent life for centuries and have still managed to produce a fair share of millionaires so give them some respect for that at least.

White people have been enslaved. My ancestors were enslaved by the Normans and the Romans long before that.

We have moved on and don't give it a moments thought. African Americans need to do the same and stop playing the victim all the time and take responsibility for the actions of their own young who get sucked into drugs and gangs and crime, rather than blaming white people for all their problems.
