This entire album is dark and amazing. Sit down with a decent pair of headphones and listen to it. It involves a musician who goes under the name 'Giles Corey', you should check out his stuff too, but his work here is much more accessible. You need to listen to it as an album as opposed to just picking up tracks. It covers a wide range of genres, with shoegaze, drone and post-rock influences.

Love How to Destroy Angels. Keeping me ticking over until NIN get back into gear. Cancer for Cure is one of the best hip-hop albums I've heard in years. If you like it, I'd recommend Cecil Otter's Rebel Yellow album. He was also involved in the rather amazing Wugazi collaboration (if you haven't heard it, treat yourself).

Chelsea Wolfe is also great. In the same vein as Zola Jesus, only not really.

And Warpaint *swoons*

I was going to suggest that myself, Excavation is definitely one of my favourite albums this year.
