I'm starting uni in September and currently looking at accomodation.. Stuck between going for a large ensuite with a shared kitchen or a large ensuite with my own kitchen?! I've heard that sharing a kitchen is much easier to make new friends and socialise, but there would be two common lounge/rooms if I had my own kitchen! 🙈🙈

Have you considered the cost of either option? I imagine having your own kitchen would be quite expensive. Sharing a kitchen would make socialising easier but if you dont like mess then that could be a problem

Yeah the price is actually lower for the one with its own kitchen strangely! Yeah I'm debating between the two now ah!

I personally would go for a private kitchen. If you dont like mess then a shared kitchen isnt the best.
I currently share a kitchen with 5 others and its an absolute mess, the cleaners always send passive aggressive messages to us because my flat mates leave plates for weeks unwashed and drop things everywhere with no care to clean them up. It annoys me because I love cleanliness yet I find before I cook I have to clean up after them.
When I was in my first year it was shared kitchen and the people I lived with made such a mess that it was almost impossible to make my food in there. So I opted not to share kitchen in my second year. Much better.
