Great banter

Japanese girls can be really hot, but the (generalisation) collective personality puts me off. Just so much wierd **** going on in their psyche. Cant be dealing with girls who bassically act like they are being raped around guys, because they are used to that turning japanese guys on.. and cant be dealing with girls acting like babbies + idiots, to try and attract guys. also the fashion + make-up is wierd as **** in some areas.

wtf??

Thoughts on this, what could I improve etc?

Showed it to mrs acorns - who works as a designer

She said that she really likes the face + crown, although he thought something about the layout of the hair + crown made it look like it wasnt quite sat on his head right.

But the thing she would change is the fonts. She likes them both in isolation, but when combined together, in her eyes they dont quite fit.

= My normal reaction.

Serriously though, its a thing. Some japanese guys like the girl to be pushing them away/refusing, the first times that they have sex, meaning the guy has to force them self on the girl. Really not that uncommon. That coupled with the popularity, and legality of cartoon child pornography, and other parts of their culture, just really puts me off their girls.. In china japan is referred to as their perverted little cousin...

Wow. Don't even know what to say tbh.

Romanian women are by far the most attractive I've ever come across.
(edited 7 years ago)
Mrs acorns did not originally approve of this topic..

But then I asked her opinion on boys from different countries.

I now have an extensive list of the different nationalities that are hotter then me.

Great.
Some arsehair on my facebook has just posted a link about a chinese-american student protesting against western society, by holding banners / rallying at their uni.

'Tired of western civilisation'

Really? Your tired of it.. cool, come over here to china then, and try your protest here. I will gladly watch as the goverement water-cannons you down, before removing your rights and slapping you down until all you want is to come back to western society where you have the right to actually voice your concerns.

Sign should read:

'I am lucky enough to live in a society which has developed to a point where the trivial issues I face daily are enough to protest over.. Really actually I like 99% of western society and all the benefits it has given me, I am just resentful because is gives other groups of people slightly more benefits then me.. but most of all I dont actually want change, but I just want you to think I want change, and secretly within my heart I know that standing in an already progressive university holding a sign is going to do **** all to actually change 'western society'

...

**** people.
Tuesday is the day I actually have to teach, instead of just talking to people for a living. Teaching always gets me in an awful mood, especially little shitty kids.

Yeah I agree. I think LeBron probably has been the best player in the playoffs. He definitely benefits from being in the Eastern Conference though, it's an easy route to the finals for him personally. Saying that the top 4 teams in the Western Conference he joins he'll probably win a championship with them.

I think it currently goes Curry, Durant/James(James better all round, Durant better scorer) then Westbrook(he has his haters and his style is very based on his athleticism but when he's on fire he's fire, for his unnatural point guard style he still gets a **** loads of assists). Thompson is probably as good a shooter as Curry at times but he's too inconsistent(besides in the playoffs). Westbrook turning up(as well as the usage of the two Centres) probably won the series for OKC though but going big ain't going to stop GSW getting their shots away, it'll most likely lead to the team being tired out by GSWs passing.

I personally can't tell who will win the playoffs. I think Cavs without Love and Irving did a good job last year, so surely with them fit this time surely they've got a great chance...

[LeBron bias] I can't see OKC beating the Cavs. LeBron has lost the last two finals, but against all time great squads, and he's played out of his skin. If he loses to OKC this year then there'll be questions over his bottle and selfishness like there was with Wilt (even though he's the best clutch playoff shooter of the generation lol, and about 50x as good as Kobe).

Golden State on form might shade the Cavs in 7. OKC have a huge chance of knocking them out now though. LeBron + KD should team up and hit the Clippers lel. I'd probably have Chris Paul over Westbrook.

Cheers for the feedback - what kind of design work does she do?

Yeah, the crown I was trying to get to hang off in a slightly comedic way, but it doesn't bend round all the way like I wanted it to so will probably adjust it so that it sits on top like normal.

She used to work in graphic design for an internet company out here, but currently she is the branding manager for a regional fruit company.

To be honest, any one with a creative degree/masters from the UK, can walk into positions in china, as long as they can speak the language. Before coming to england she was just a normal run of the mill design applicant.. 1 year abroad and now she has people wanting her to work for them.. Crazy how much importance people in china put on the creative education in the western world (but then also completely reasonable when you consider how shite they train their designers to be over here.)

Did you do the vectoring by hand? Nicely done if so. Maybe try shifting the crown a little to the right.

I personally disagree with what fallen_acorn's wife said about the font, think the contrast looks good, but I'm not a graphic designer.

Dw we all lie about how far back we can remember football. Zurich remembers Euro 96 vividly despite being 4 at the time, and Mackay remembers early 90s football well despite being 1-6.

I've openly said my earliest memories were Euro 96. Not early 90s.

I said I'd watched since the early 90s in an argument about the Boleyn Ground vs Upton Park - but that was just me exaggerating tbh.

I agree, but same could also be said for Durant and potentially losing 2 finals. I think it's quite even between OKC, GSW and Cavs at this moment though. Any of these teams can win it. Lebron needs to move to the west, east is basically a route to the finals for any playoff team he plays in.

Yeah I'd take Paul over Westbrook too, Westbrook an amazing scorer and is great playing in isolation but Paul has more traditional point guard skills, he can also hit threes better than Westbrook who literally is a downgraded 6'4 Lebron James. He runs offence for OKC great though, been the best OKC player in the playoffs so far, just that he is still hot and cold.

Inb4 Cavs get sweeped by Raptors.

Ah okay that's quite interesting, but if she's branding manager is that more on the management/office side than creative? Is that company in China?

Yeah, thanks man I did, it's a different style to I've ever done before, was a ballache to get it all done tbh. Think I might change the font at the bottom anyway - kinda looks like the logo you'd see on a tin of pasta sauce in Italy imo

Nice, never had the patience for vectoring myself, illustrator or PS?

Personally prefer the look 'smoother' vectoring rather than using triangles and such but I imagine that's even more of a ****er to do. Looks incredible when done well though.
When Durant score he don't say nothing.
