well imaginary part was i{4a+4)

but its real so i comp is 0

4a+4=0

a = -1

Not that i meant the series question in the form of 1/6(ax^2+bx+c)

2 marks so i assume so

I thought it was 2 marks because one of the lines had double the length of the other too.

a mark for saying they're parallel and a mark for saying 2(OP) = QR possibly?

There was a dog outside the exam hall barking for what felt like half an hour. :s-smilie:

You have knowIedge from two additionaI further maths maths units

You do STEP for whatever reason which enhances your problem solving skiIIs cconsiderably

Think before you post pIz

I won't even get started with that TI CaIc you have

Alright I'm sorry. I forget that this is an AS exam. I was stumped on 9b for a little while because I was doing one of the points minus the other.

"No it was a dog."
I hope I'm wrong, but the teachers at my school said they were't allowed to look at the paper until tomorrow, so I doubt that the mark scheme will get put up for a while. I hope I'm wrong though

You have a graphing calculator? Do you ever find yourself having to use the graphing function?
When is the unofficial mark scheme being posted?

I don't have one but I intend to buy one soon.

It's not really needed tbh.

I use this atm.

Maybe in FP2, where you have to plot families of graphs?

Anyone remember how many marks the last two parts of 9 were worth?

Think I lost all them marks but got the rest the paper

For the first proof by induction is it alright if I didn't do the step shown in the pic?

I got till second last step and didnt realise you could factorise it .... face-palm
So showing that T^2 = I wouldn't get you the mark?

Original post by kingaaran
Self-inverse isn't really a topic in itself. The clue is in the name - you had to show that the inverse of the matrix is the same as the matrix itself. And that requires FP1 techniques

I sure hope it does.
Does anyone have the solutions?
