I'm not sure if you'll be able to do A levels at a sixth form at my sixth form the requirement for Maths is an A and for the sciences ABB (triple science), what have your teachers said?

you tell him. You aren't stupid and failing the other exams this time doesn't mean you won't pass whichever you decide to retake next time. Go to a college that will allow you to retake a couple of GCSE's to make at least your 5 A-C's that you need in life 
then they'll allow you to move on to do the A levels that you want to do. Which you have to do well in this time. Avoid whatever, whoever and wherever it is/was that has affected your ability to achieve what you are truly capable of. Anyone is an idiot is they refuse to accept that circumstances play a massive role in deciding whether someone will be able to flourish academically. If they simply don't have a good support home life or they're poor or whatever other stress they have in their life... It just isn't going to go as swimmingly as it will for the more privileged of school kids. Don't beat yourself up this is not the end of the world and speak to whichever college will allow you to retake a couple and then move on to your A levels

It only means another year of studying them so you can get into College! Trust me don't worry, after that it's hardly needed
I wouldn't advise going to.college simply because if you fail GCSEs and come out with only 3 a levels are gonna seem impossible. Look at apprentiships etc

I wouldn't advise going to.college simply because if you fail GCSEs and come out with only 3 a levels are gonna seem impossible. Look at apprentiships etc

Why is it that you feel the need to bring others down? I suggest you stop because coming out as rather piteous.
This person came on TSR and posted this for advise and they had the courage to do that, if you have something good to say then say it, otherwise keep your opinions to yourself because they weren't asked for.
Don't worry about GCSE's. If you have the drive for something you will do it regardless and find a way.. I didn't do to well on my gcse's simply because I was bad at school, didn't listen & moved schools even... I didn't let my gcses define me, and keep me back from what I wanted to do.. which is business/law now , I'm studying at a new university which specialises in business management studying business management&law, and I'm the supervisor at Sainsbury's lol hopefully manager soon.. you will be able to study with what you have came out with.. I know because I came out with much worse LOL highest I got was a C in mine.. so you'll be cool, you can't change what you have unless you resit. Just look at what your options are now and go with it.. if that's not what you like then do something about it, re-sit. Either way if you don't want to be stuck in the mud then don't!

My school totally wasted 2 of my IGCSEs. English, ITC, and Mandarin were made mandatory. I got an A* in English, a D in ICT (which sucks because all my mocks were C and above), and an E in Mandarin. Of the 3 mandatory subjects, I only really wanted to take 1. English.
What's worse is that you could only choose 2 for yourself! I picked Maths, Physics, and Chemistry (I had to get really b!tchy to get that one extra subject). Luckily I redeemed myself with a load of B's. It's a shame, really. My friends said that Biology was the easiest science IGCSE, and you can tell from the fact that everyones highest grades is Bio. That means I missed out on a possible A*.
That D in ICT is the type of D I don't want to see ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), and the E in Mandarin really pisses me off. Nobody wanted to do the exam, and nobody really tried, but it tarnishes my "reputation" and makes me feel like **** knowing that I could have done something else and gotten an A. My grades are probably good enough to get into a 6th form, but I really want to get my B's up to A's and do that Bio GCSE. I've also been self studying french over the course of 2 years so I was thinking about taking a GCSE in that. Then again, it might just be a waste of time to do all that when I should be focusing on A Levels.
I'm a terrible student. I haven't passed a maths exam once this school year. Frequently got in trouble because I didn't do homework or didn't participate in group projects. If you ask a teacher about me, the first thing they'd say is "She's got potential, but-". I guess they're right, though. I took ICAS exams and have consistently gotten Distinction and High Distinction (huehue high) in every subject- regardless of whether I may have been failing that subject in school or not. My Final Year Exams (last year, JC1, being Singaporean A level standard) have somehow managed to be above 75% for all my subjects (with the exception of Mandarin ==

What I'm trying to get at here, is that you know what's good for you. I'm great at cramming when I'm under pressure, but under regular school conditions I get lazy and undisciplined. I'm aware that A Levels are going to take a lot more hard work, and so I'm adjusting myself. I've started by making a study schedule- which is weirdly exciting (ew neerrddd). I'm going to take things one step at a time. I know my strengths so now I need to work on my weaknesses.

go to a college where you can retake a couple of your gcse's so you have the 5 A-C's you need for life whilst also doing those a levels

I just did some of my Gcse's exams and I think I failed. I'm going to a sixth form and do 3 a levels in English language, media studies and psychology. I do foundation which to me is easier to do in a classroom then a huge hall. My mother and my brother are going to kill me. I want to pass my exams but don't want to waste another year. I also want to go to Uni in the new future. What do I do.
