Pretty scared for year 13. I found AS pretty easy in Physics and Chemistry whereas most people in my classes found them hard, but I found Maths quite hard whereas nearly everyone on TSR and IRL found it easy.
It's crazy, I'm not ready for the adult world responsibility ahhh. At least uni is still kind of school in some ways so won't be like a full working adult with a house etc but stil
^^ THISSSSSS.
It's like someone went "oh here's all of these adult responsibilities that you need to deal with ... Oh and here are student loans that you need to repay asap!!!"
Is Peter Pan still accepting applications for the Lost Boys? And is there a platform 9 3/4 thing on UCAS that'll get me there?
Aren't we technically in year 13, seeing as last year has already finished?
ANYWAY...
Have people visited the uni's they would like to go to yet? How are your personal statements getting along? What subjects are you currently studying and, what do you hope to study at uni (give the 5 uni's you want to go to)
I've turned up to this thread so late but here we go!
Have people visited the uni's they would like to go to yet? I've visited one - Falmouth, and fell in love, but I've changed my mind about what I want to study so that's out of the window now! I can't visit many as they're all 2/3 hours away from me at least, It takes longer on the train and is really expensive and my parents want to go as well so I'm going off of what I see online really How are your personal statements getting along? I've planned it all out and lost the plan, I typed it up and lost the typed copy (I did it offline on a chromebook and my account got blocked on it by my school) so really the universe is against me completely What subjects are you currently studying and, what do you hope to study at uni (give the 5 uni's you want to go to) I'm studying History, psychology and photography, want to study primary education studies (with a specialism in history if I get into a uni that offers the chance for you to do a specialism!) at either ST Mark & St John, Plymouth, South Wales, Bath Spa & haven't decided on my 5th yet, and some of those are with QTS combined, or go on to do the PGCE at the collage local to me so I can live at home then! it really depends on how my grades turn out this year & which course I get onto
Have people visited the uni's they would like to go to yet? I visited quite a few at the start of Year 12 (early, I know) like Birmingham City, Derby, Staffordshire, Wolverhampton and De Montfort. The only unis I'm still considering out of these are Derby and De Montfort! I have also visited Worcester; Roehampton and Lincoln, and I am yet to visit Nottingham Trent, Middlesex, Hull Aberyswyth then Derby and De Montfort again. Whew....
How are your personal statements getting along? My school set us the deadline of Friday 15th July to have it mostly done. When I go back I just have to add in the work experience part then I'm all done
What subjects are you currently studying and, what do you hope to study at uni (give the 5 uni's you want to go to) I'm currently taking English literature and language, Media and Sociology. I love these subjects, they enable me to use my strengths to the best of my ability! I would like to study Media and Communications. So far, my options foe definite are Lincoln and Worcester. Only time will tell for the others!
Have people visited the uni's they would like to go to yet? I visited Cambridge but that was before i got my AS levels . And as college is approaching i won't have much time to do so.
How are your personal statements getting along? I've finished my personal statement and I'm really happy with it, although i will be making it better over the next 3 weeks. And from the 15th September my school lets us apply to UCAS
What subjects are you currently studying and, what do you hope to study at uni (give the 5 uni's you want to go to) I am currently studying business, economics and law, i intend to apply to ULaw, Lancaster, LSE or Cambridge (only got AAB at AS so it depends on my predictions), UCL, Manchester.

Oh yay a fellow Cambridge hopeful! Now we just need to pray for good predictions

I think I can get them, i only need AAA to study law at cambridge, but i should be able to swing A*AA predictions given my performance all year, what do you intend to study?

Wait you only need AAA for law?! You're so lucky what! I want to do medicine and the grades at Cambridge are A*A*A... If I don't drop anything will probably be predicted A*A*A*A*A but dropping the hell out of psychology (was only two marks into an A!) so hopefully A*A*A*A* but more like 3A* and an A (though one is in general studies so doesn't really count ha)

Same here, need A*A*A for Cambridge Economics. Got that 4A* prediction though so should be fine. Getting the offer is the hard bit
