AS and A level?

I have recently Moved to Uk from India and will be starting year 12 in September, I am trying to find books to get a head start on the syllabus but am really confused as some books show "a level" some Show "as level" and some show "a2 level" I am taking maths, further maths physics and chemistry all in OCR board and am going to do both year 12 and 13. which "level" books should buy?

Hi there. "as level" refers to Year 12. "a2" refers to Year 13. HOWEVER, this is because there used to be exams at the end of Y12, which have since been removed, while the course has only had a few changes. I recommend you buy "a level" books that were published after 2017. I think they would be best for you. If you want to save money, AS and A2 books are still useful, but may not be completely up to date, and will only have content from 1 year, instead of 2 years. Good luck :smile:
