I wonder how long most of those who voted for Corbyn have actually been Labour members.

Owen Smith won in the category of those who had been members before May 2015. Corbyn did best in the category of those who voted against Labour in May 2015.

Owen Smith also, interestingly, won among Scottish Labour members and the 18-24 category. It seems the received wisdom of Corbyn as the choice of the youth is a myth. If anything, when you see pictures from Momentum meetings it's often vicious, hardcore communists in their 50s and 60s who have been waiting for this moent since the 1980s.

If I were a moderate lefty (which thank the lord I'm not, sir) I'd be wanting my money and effort to be in furtherance of moderate policies that could achieve electoral success. That ain't going to happen for some time to come in Labour.

It seems that moderate money might well be spent supporting those loonies who stand on street corners selling such nonsense as Socialist Worker.

Momentum seems to be composed of a few Labour members and a lot of the extremist crowd that Labour managed to expel in the 1980s, and there is tremendous confusion over where an activist's money will get spent.

You can be a member for as little as £1 a month.
I don't like my money going to furthering proposals that will see labour defeated hugely but at the same time I sure as hell am gonna be there to vote against Corbyn the next time we hold a leadership election.

I really don't think there can be that many more corbynistas out there who aren't already members. There are far more moderates out there who want nothing more than to see a strong social democratic opposition to the conservatives who can win power.

The moderates can beat him but they need a better plan and a better candidate than Owen smith. They need a moderate who can draw in people from outside the party to join and vote.

Where is your evidence that those who voted against Labour in May 2015 were those who voted Corbyn?

"vicious, hardcore communists" Did you pick all this up just from a few pictures of people? Where did you pick up this skill of being able to tell the life story of a person just by a picture? Where have you seen these pictures? Your just going on a rant based solely on your personal bias against Jeremy Corbyn.

Your just going on a rant based solely on your personal bias against Jeremy Corbyn.

Your comment is unfortunately characteristic of the sort of childish, whiney victimhood mentality of the Corbynista. Just because someone emphatically disagrees with Corbyn and dislikes him (because oh, I don't know, he took a £20,000 payment from a regime that lynches gay men) doesn't make someone "biased" against him. It means they have an opinion, something in the modern Labour Party we're not allowed to express, if it's contrary to the Cult of the Blessed Jeremy, without being the recipient of vitriol, abuse and bricks through windows. These are classic communist intimidation tactics.

By the way, it's "you're" not "your". Try to grasp the distinction if you want to be taken seriously in adult debates

My comment was to do with the question I asked in which you chose not to reply to. I think you will find that I have not given you any back-handed insults or tried to patronise you. If you don't want to be challenged on your thoughts start a blog instead of showing volatility towards others with a different opinion on a forum.
