Economics degree advice

I am a first year Economics student at Warwick University but am miserable as the Maths element of the course is really difficult, the workload is huge and I don't like the campus university. I am considering dropping out of Warwick and reapplying to do Economics at Newcastle or Birmingham, would appreciate any feedback on the course from anyone doing it at the moment

I'm doing economics at Glasgow (1st year) and the maths element here is next to nothing. We've been told that economics is highly numerate and will be a struggle for those who aren't numerically inclined. So, in other words, it's only going to get more mathematical as you progress, but I'm sure you can specialise in things like public policy and behavioural economics when you get the choice to drop the mathematical economics module.

It's a shame you feel like that. If you don't mind me asking, what grade did you get at maths (and maybe further maths too) at A2? And how many people on the course tend to have done FM at A level? I'm asking because I'm also applying to Warwick to do economics, although due to the competitive nature of it I'm not really anticipating an offer to be honest.

I didn't do further maths but got an A in maths, A* in Economics and an A in Spanish. I'm not sure to be honest, but most people are struggling with the maths

What kind of maths are you dealing with? Calculus?

That's interesting. I understand that an economics degree involves maths and I'm not awful at maths, I got an A at a level, it's the level and pace at Warwick that's too much so I want to know what the maths is like in other economics degrees
