How are interview dates decided?

For imperial college, the interview dates range from 2nd of November to 1st of march, that is such a big range and it is extremely inconvenient that the MAT test is on the 2nd of November, is there any way to influence the interview dates?

it's probably to do with when you apply. Since they have to consider students who apply in October the same way as those in January and don't have time to assess everyone after all applications have gone through. Therefore they will have to interview some people earlier to decide. You could probably contact them to change the date if it's on the same day as the exam anyway.
