Should I take a gap year or not? Please help

Hey guys so I'm thinking about taking a gap year because I'm not sure what I want to study at university. I did intend to study psychology at uni but I haven't done any relevant work experience or volunteering. I think the gap year would be very beneficial for me as I can get a part time job and earn some money and also research the course I want to do thoroughly and get any relevant work experience or volunteering to stand at a higher chance of getting an offer. Also if I want to apply to uni in 2019 do I have to write my personal statement now? Do I have to speak to my sixth form about taking a gap year? Any advice much appreciated. :smile:

No not yet. My A-level exams are in June. :smile:

Well you don’t have to let your college now as ince you receive your alevels they are not in charge of you anymore. After your gap year you will have to do this process on your own, but I recommend talking to your tutor as they will have a more direct answer
