Help! i think i deleted my videos on my Samsung Android phone

Hi,

I am in need of desperate help..I dont know whether i have mistakenly deleted my videos or someone has swapped them from my phone via a Bluetooth device. I am so paranoid about it now :frown:

I mistakenly left my bluetooth on . I am not technology minded , but i noticed something went off on my phone and whilst it locked something went it went swop like it was all deleted. Thing is my pictures are still there but not my videos. Could it be possible i could have mistakenly deleted the videos? Thing is there is 3 videos left??

Also can anyone tell me if it is possible i can retrieve them. They where saved on my SD card . Could their be a possibly that someone has swapped it off my phone?

First connect your phone to computer via usb cable, here you can use Coolmuster Lab.Fone for Android to help you scan out your phone. It can help you scan out all data, including mistakenly deleted videos or someone else.

Hi , is it a completely free service ?
As my know, all the recovery software in the market is not free. But you could free trial if your vedio still not exist. If the tool could find out the lost Vedio, they could recovery them.Base on your choose.I think the important thing is backup all the data for your Samsung to avoid missing in next time. After all, they are cheaper and sometime they are free.I used MobiKin Assistant for Android, one click to back up all the data.

Thanks, but it is pointless advising the back up when it was not carried out in the first place.. I want to know if the ones that have not been retrieved (when i used a software )CAN be retrieved or is it lost forever?

Bluetooth doesn't allow an authorised person to simply delete files on your phone.

Thanks for that... I am in two minds as to what happened really.. I mean i kinda got paranoid and be thinking that i left my bluetooth on and it was swifted . I have so many enemies at my workplace ..Could this be possible? I mean when i opened my phone and it just touched a thing without reading and the next thing i know all my videos went - my pictures remained though. I did a recovery and it re-installed some of my videos but not all. How can a SD be corrupt by a simple accidental ( if that?) deletion?
Thank you, you have been incredibly helpful

Maybe you accidentally highlighted and pressed delete on all the videos before locking the phone, then when you picked it up you were presented with the "Are you sure?" screen and just clicked yes without realising. It's possible,

I think this is more than likely because i had been watching and clearing a videos i just watched. The videos show but as blank , so the possibiliy is they are corrupt. I want to be able to savage them as there where one of my best Holiday videos:frown:. I may have to pay extra to have it repaired ( if it is possible).. Does some of these online data retriever things that advise for free , take some data for their personal files? could that be possible too?

Also just because a photo is visible doesn't mean it's actually accessible, its possibly showing the thumbnail not the image.

I think you might need to go to a proper repair shop. I'm concerned DIY repairs, unless you know what you are doing, will cause more problems

The SD has a lot of space left on it . Only a few videos was savaged. The others is there but i cannot view them . It is so annoying i did not think just a simple accidental deletion can be permanently lost
The videos that are unsavagable shows as a blank box on my gallery ,
I recall the morning i was watching some videos and highlighted the tick boxes to deleted the ones that i did not want. I also accidently dropped the phone when running for the train- maybe that could cause the corruption?

Look for Testdisk. It's a tiny suite of completely free applets that includes Testdisk (for recovering damaged filesystems/partitions) and Photorec (for recovering accidentally deleted files/photos). Put it on your computer and insert the SD card, and let Photorec do its thing.

Is it completely free? I tend to find that i spent time allowing it to scan through my card. When it completes and advises it has found the files. It asks for payment

When you used a third-party software, the video lost forever when it couldn't be retrieved. In that case, don't pay.

I recently deleted all my 500 photos from my Samung by accident , and those were incredibly important photos. I hated myself for that. I have tried many programs for recovery but with no great success. Only this tool was effective - https://7datarecovery.com/android-data-recovery/ . But keep in mind it's not cheap.

The longer you leave it the less likely you'll get the files back. By continuing to use the phone the operating system will be overwriting the "empty" space that your files were saved on.

You need to take it to a specialist recovery repair place asap.

It's nothing to do with when it was recorded, it's how long since it thinks it was deleted or corrupted.

As Acsel says it's probably too late now... Why didn't you take the actions recommended at the time when you first posted about all this?
