Where/How to Exchange Euros for Pounds

Hey Im trying to get all my money together for uni.

And i found 150 euros in my safety box in my room unused probs from my last time in france.

I probably wont be using it for ages so i want to exchange into pounds.

Where can I do it to get the best rate, or is this a bad time to exchange it?

Or can you actually deposit it into a bank account and the bank would exchange it for you?

Unless you actually really need the money, I wouldn't bother because you'll waste time changing (time is money) and you'll get hit by the commision twice.

When I need to change Euros into Pounds I go to Marks and Spencer, you don't need to pay any commission, it's free. :yep:

Post Office, MoneyShop, M&S all offer Euro/GBP exchanges commission free.
Remember most places offer commission free exchanges but it's the rate that will vary between places.

If you're not going to use it for a long time, you might as well just exchange it so you can use the £s. You should expect to get £110-£120 for your €150.
(OH. Some London large stores will accept €uros - as they cater for tourists)

There is no such thing as a free exchange of money. M&S are a business. They make money from changing currency by giving you a smaller exchange rate than the bank exchange rate.
