Law/Criminology

Has anyone done either law or criminology at uni? Thinking of doing either of the two but unsure what one?
Firstly do you know how they're different? If no, research the differences.

If you do, explain what they are.
Same but I’ve chosen criminology now

OP, whats your career goal?

I studied law, but i did take several criminology modules at LL.M. level. It really depends on your career aspirations, interests and individual strengths. I found parts of criminology interesting, but an entire degree on it is a different matter. They are such different discliplines. It's worth just taking a glance at a textbook of each if you're not sure. Try Newburn particularly for Criminology, it's pretty accessible.
My degree is in Criminology and the only link to formal law was Criminal Law in 1st year and Human Rights Law in 2nd year. Criminology is more about the theories on criminality, some sociological theories and in 3rd year the Psychology of crime.
