CAPP tests can be quite easy. If it seems easy so the first question is basic addition etc be very careful with the answer you click.

They do it on purpose. Say your answer is 10300 they might have 103000, 10300, 1030 etc and if you're rushing you're likely to pick the wrong one.

Thank you so much for this! I will take your advice

You've had your scores back? I did my tests around one month ago and have heard nothing since.

Hi!
I have just completed NHS graduate management training scheme’s online assessment and my application status showing it’s on hold. But my question is -did I pass in all online assessment?.it has been written on the application instructions page that you have to get a standard level of points in every stage of the assessment to proceed to the next level- is that mean I have managed to get standard level of points in every stage of the online assessment? Plz correct me if I am wrong. Your answer will be much appreciated.
Thanks and good luck to everyone who are planning to apply .

You have to get a certain mark which I presume won't be too high to pass each stage. If you score extremely low then you won't go through the next stage. I wouldn't say you have passed just yet as we won't know until after the deadline.

How did you decide which scheme to apply for? I am debating between General Management, Health Analysis, Health Informatics and maybe DHSC...

I applied for HR because I want a people-based career. But I am also interested in Policy and Strategy and General Management. As a recent graduate who wants to explore their options...I'm currently contemplating whether the General Management scheme would give me more exposure to a variety of roles. Trying to figure out whether to re-apply or not.

Just did the Numerical test and that was hard, 2 questions had me baffled and i spent like 3 and a half minutes each only to guess the answer.

Sorry but it says this on the website:
"Please note you can only submit one application to the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme per intake. However, in your application you can request to be considered for more than one specialism (including the DHSC Policy Fast Track Scheme) so long as you meet the relevant entry requirements."
All my tests are now done, and now to wait ...

Did you get through to the verbal reasoning test?

Yes, I did but I feel my numerical score will be low.

from 12 I had atleast 9 correct but my timing overall was like 25 mins
I suspect my verbal reasoning will be my lowest score, I've always struggled with them tbh

Does anyone know roughly how many applications they get each year and how many people they take on?

According to this source, 12500 for around 150 places. It's 5 years old, but I suspect the statistics would be similar, if not more competitive https://www.theguardian.com/healthcare-network/2013/oct/09/nhs-graduate-management-scheme-applications

I made a freedom of information request about a week ago which included this question- How many vacancies and appointments each year for the last 8 years.

Other questions I asked were about the gender and race stats for applications on this scheme. The results are actually somewhat surprising.
Applications have indeed gone up since 2012 but so have vacancies- Last year there were 17084 applicant and 199 "starters" compared to 2012 where there were 12214 applications but 150 "starters".

I also took the time to email the scheme to see how many vacancies there are this time around and they said initial plans was for around 500 (yes i typed that correctly) but that is of course not set in stone due to Brexit (I don’t know how this even impacts this scheme tbh).

I have attached the Freedom of Information request for those of you who want to go through the Data

Why did I think it would be a lot less competitive ...
