Hey, We have just started our final unit- Multicellular organisms and I am finding it really difficult. Has anyone else done this unit yet?
Yea we have finished that unit actually ( we did them in a weird order). What bits are you finding the most difficult?
Right now we are doing Ecosystems.

We have done, stem cells, nerves and neurons (we only started last week) and there are just so many words and i'm already confused
I've already done unit 1 (cells) and unit 3 (life on earth) I think you are doing life on earth right now, and honestly, that is the easiest unit, there isn't anything that is too complicated.
Yeah Life on Earth is definitely easier than all the others. Don't worry, you'll get it soon enough. There's actually some good quizzes and stuff online that can help with learning the definitions.

Thank you. I'll check them out!

Yes we are doing the unit assesment today. I have been finding it very difficult to keep up in class. Am i the only one that has to write page after page every lesson

lol nope we're the opposite- my teacher just skips through stuff and misses out on half the definitions! I always ask her to put the powerpoints up on google classroom because that way I don't miss anything.

Ours puts them up in glow. What parts do you not understand. I find the specialised cells difficult but that because i havent learnt any of the definitions
(Original post by Rumaan Yusaf)How to revise and get an A for Biology?

I revise by a looking over my notes, re-writing them and then making them into power points. But thats really specific to me because i really enjoy computing and so any way i can get a computer involved in my revision i will do it. It does have a down side because i probably play with the design more than i should.

How to revise and get an A for Biology?

Another way i revise is after flash cards although i haven't made any for any on my subjects yet. And i heard Mind maps are good. Honestly if you want and A in biology you have to work for it especially if you've no clue like me.
Hey so I managed to get pretty good results in my prelim (an A) and basically I made a mind-map for every sub-topic to make sure I fully understood everything and when making them it reminds you of the words . Also doing past papers.

well done btw
URGENT!
I have my Biology write up assessment in a week and as you all know its 20% of your grade.
Has anyone done it yet? and what was your experiment?
I did the effect pH of the buffer solution with Amylase has on starch agar and so the question is if anyone has any good sources because I've been looking for a while but can't find anything with tempreture included.
Please Help!
good luck with your experiments<3

Have you checked the GCSE biology BBC Bitesize page because that’s where I got mine there were loads of graphs there. We did our assignment in October and I was quite lucky because we just copied our draft and the only thing we had to do on the spot was the graph.

Multi-cellular organisms is quite hard. Lot of stuff to remember but I think Cellular Biology is easy. Has anyone done Ecosystems? How is it?

I found the whole of Unit 3 easy, but really boring. I hope it’s more exciting for you!

How to revise and get an A for Biology?

Past papers are key! I know teachers say this all the time but honestly they are the most effective method of revision for me personally. It just gives you an idea of how the SQA word questions, what they want you to say and what topics come up all the time

I'm currently studying National 5 Biology and doing my assignment although I'm struggling with the Underlying Biology part! I'm doing my assignment on the effect of pH on enzyme activity. Any suggestions on what I could mention?, as I have no idea.
I’m doing the same assignment that u have to on for underlying biology u have to write about 5 biological points relevant to your aim and also developing those points as well
