AS maths mechanics question

Need help with this:

A box of mass 12kg is attached to the roof of a lift by a light extensible string. The mass of the lift is 450kg and it is supported by a cable that is modelled as light an inextensible. The tension in the cable is 5300N. Find the tension in the string

The answer says 138N, dont know how to get there

So what is the resultant force on the lift + weight?
Then, what is the acceleration of the lot?
Finally, what tension in the string is needed to cause this acceleration in the weight?
