The Student Room Group

How can I volunteer to cheer people up?

I've noticed that because we did loads of activities at the start of the the year for lockdown, now it's winter everyone's even more miserable.

I would love to start something to cheer people up, but I can't go out a lot because I'm living with an individual who's shielding and I have asthma myself. I'd love to start something though, like video call things or something. Does anyone have any idea if I can volunteer with a group that does this?
Thanks!

I was also thinking of doing something bigger, to get more people involved, that sort of thing. I don't know what sort of thing to do, though, and I'm not sure how to reach people. Any ideas? I was looking to focus on students/young people, get them out of this slump, but I'm really not sure what to do.
