Hey. I don't know if this thread is still alive but I'm retaking this paper and am completely STUCK on the cell cycle. :confused:

(AS Biology OCR, but the cell cycle should be the same in everything right?)

In the diagram you showed...

M = Mitosis = PMAT, Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase, (+cytokinesis)
*G1= Growth of organelles in new cell
*S = synthesis of new DNA/ genetic material replicated
*G2 = second Growth phase, growth of an entire cell to maturity, ready for division again the next cycle

*All part of the "Interphase" stage, a period of intense active before the stages of Mitosis begin.

it's about four days until our exam and I haven't learnt the syllabus yet D:
