Durham / Edinburgh / SOAS ?

Hi all,

Ive been so indecisive to choose university for MA course in 2011.
I applied above uni, and got an offer for culture / media related programme.

Id like to live in London, because I am a lot used to live here, but reputation of uni and my interests is also significant.

Actually Ive never lived in Durham or Edinburgh!

well, would you guys give me some clues on this matter?
it would definately help me out!

oh, if you are a student from those universities, pls let me know the pros and cons of your school. I would appreciate so much.

Thank you all.

I don't really have much advice to offer you, I am in a similar situation: choosing between SOAS, Edinburgh University and then Lund University (Sweden).

I don't think you should base your choice on where you are used to live, because it is a great experience to live somewhere else and it also looks good to future employers. Besides, it is only for a year.

Have you had a chance to visit all universities?

They're all good; visit them. I'm Scottish and I know you'd have a great time in Edinburgh but all 3 are great unis. Visit them and see which city grabs you... Do remember than Durham and Edinburgh are much cheaper to live in than London.
