20 days til i start work, 21 days until i start looking for a new house... changes of me actually moving... 1%? I need to make carrot cake, but i've lost my flat mate.
im super excited missed Uni! carrot cake is good btw what happened to your flat mate?
Apparently he'd fallen asleep, rolled off the bed and remained asleep down the back of the bed. But left all the lights on and tv on from last night. I found him when he started shouting he was stuck
I know a few people who are still there, 2nd, 3rd years all that, will have to pay them a visit at some point
job hunting is fun still , rejection for any little thing, a good one was because these was too many people applying
annoying as well this company who for ages have only been really asking for 2.2, has gone this year nah we want 2.1's now
where you working?
Chelmsford but an interview at addenbrooks in wednesday that i don't want to do. There are so many people without jobs atm they an afford to raise it sadly

nice, that for a BMS job, addenbrooks is meant to be a pain to work with, dunno about for
thats the trouble, plus these too many grads at the moment going for too few jobs, and they are coming from all degrees
addenbrooks see also sorts so i heard, that new processing from what i was told seems very silly
they don't seem to care its all about what you got
where talking to Americans its seems very few jobs care about your GPA
The first line doesn't quite make sense,... am i being thick
It does seem silly, chemlsford aren't taking a student this year, and colchester histo look like it's gonna be shutting, ipswich will probably stay open.

that was just me and my typing
it just seems silly to transporting samples like than, when say A&E has a 4 hour turn over and so on
one of these things that will cost more than it saves

it does, especially the distance they are going to have to send some samples. Emergency samples for Colchester will remain in house, but all gp stuff will be sent, so lots of job losses and probably longer results. But histology isn't included in the 4hour turn over, the emergency ones would be frozen sections and they can just get someone in.

getting someone is will just cost more, makes no sense
but to most people the NHS is doctors and nurses, and forgot about the important stuff that happened behind, and those £100,000 officer managers won't see there jobs go

this is very true. If Chelmsford don't make me permanent i don't know if i will stay in the nhs though as it does seem silly some of the funding. I have been told that my job isn't important before now.

won't be long till its all outsourced to some private company, seems the in think to do with the public sector and nhs
are there private labs you could work for, or just leave the biomed world

Not that i've found, i'm kinda stuck with looking for work where my flatmate can live at the moment (i'm stuck with him for now) and i've nt got the specialist portfolio to move away. But leaving it totally is an option

how do you even start a specialist portfolio
start as a bms then apply for one at the IBMS, it helps if the lab supports you.
He's not a student, works in braintree, but where ever i go, he's coming too ( slightly dependant friendship is probably the best way of describing it, he's a lovely bloke, but has a lot of problems)

oh ok, so if the lab says no you are a bit more screwed in one way
