From what I remember it was an ok episode.
To summarise it for you:
Them two con some old guy out of some diamonds which get lost on the island.
They try to scam each other out of them on the island (I think the girl hid them from the guy).
They both get bitten by a spider and are totally paralysed. The Losties wonder who/what killed them.
In actual fact, they're not dead, but just paralysed, so they bury them alive by mistake.
All this because most of the viewing public thought they were crappy characters...
From what I remember any way.
Edit: I cannot believe I just typed all that for what were two rubbish characters....

AWESOME episode. Man, they could stop with the ****ing cliffhangers, every goddamn time.
Cliffhangers are the most exciting things about Lost.. They are great
