A lot would be an understatement. The majority of what we do is proof to be honest... Apart from the applied modules obv. But algebra/analysis/most of computing/stats is all proof. Even some of calculus involves proof. [They're all the 1st year modules ive taken so far].

And yes Re: mechanics. Calculus second semester is compulsory and is mainly mechanics (though its all retaught using vectors; the lecturer says knowing mechanics beforehand can actually be a disadvantage).

mmm sounds like diluted mechanics then, or even calculus with a dose of mechanics. m2 calculus is piss, so lets hope i get on with that module just as well.

and i look forward to the proofs !

Haha. I get to stay at your hotels for free right? Cheers.

What kind of restaurant? I bet I know most of the best ones in Mumbai

How about this money making scheme (just thought of it) :

I give all my friends a week free stay at any of my hotels....complete with spa sessions... free internet and stuff.... and all meals provided....all the perks u can imagine..... but u would have to enroll in my Star loyal scheme.... in which u get 20-30% off(depending on the time of year) at any of my hotels (uptil 3 weeks) and u get 10% off at any of my restaraunts (uptil 10 meals in a year) and the price of the scheme would be a little steep but I'll giv u all a lot of gifts throughout the year(from a wishlist u submit online) so that u stay happy even if u dont visit my hotels!!!

OOhh!! :colone: :colone: I'm badass  .... I'm gonna become the richest hotel tycoon in the world!!! :jive: .... Vegas will pay me to build a hotel and casino out ther!!! Ka-ching!!! "Money money money money moneeeyyy.... I got ur money"

I completely forgot to answer ur 2nd question... I'm probably gonna start trdaditionally with the good old punjabi restaraunt... den will go onto chinese... then italian mixed with exotic cuisines such as carribean and thai n stuff

Note: :colone: please dont copy my idea or else :ninja: ... I know chuck norris :eviltongue:

Oh, thanks a lot, really
But you know, I have an issue with this kind of standardised tests which doesn't actually reflect what they should be reflecting.
But I guess I can only do my best on 12th

Btw. Norwegian similar to English or rather German?

Pronounciation wise, it is more like German, but the syntax is closer to that of English.

Good luck on your IELTS
Applied to woodland court because I can't handle not having my own bathroom lmao

Well I have not started yet (will start in Sept.) but I guess I would love to specialise in strategic management!!

My plans for ahead are:
-get 1 or 2 yrs exp. in UK
-Come bak to India get 1 or 2 yrs exp. here
-Get an MBA(can be step 2)
-Open my own chain of restaraunts
-Become famous ... open my own hotels!!!
-Earn lot of money.... chill out at the caribbeans with cold beer!! :jive:

:teehee: hav I said too much!!

Note : I forgot to ask u the main question... how was BBA?? wat all do u hav to do in terms of projects and studies??

For an MBA you need at least 3 years of managerial experience. After you complete you BBA you can do a master in Hospitality Management (hotels & restaurants). I believe that will help you start your own chain of restaurants.

The BBA in my country prepared me to take the role of a manager. This meant that I studied a broad curriculum (micro and macro economics, management, marketing, accounting, finance, informatic systems - databases, etc.). Projects were give by teachers whose subject was more approachable. For example, I did projects about knowledge management, CSR, advertising campaing, cultural values that influence entrepreneurship, etc.
For finance, banking, mathematics, accounting, law, etc. we had written examinations.

In conclusion if you are determined to become a manager and have/will have some financial support, the BBA is an ideal choice and you will enjoy it. Unfortunately such a course will make you "Jack of all trades" as it covers a broad curriculum so you need to specialise after graduation.

HAHA!! U read my mind.... I want to become the "Jack of all trades" as then after I graduate in 4 yrs(a very long time) the market mite hav changed n maybe there is more demand for ppl with CSR skills or excellent accounting skills .. u never know :dunno:

So thats why I thought of doin a generalised BBA and then masters in hospitality !! :top:

Although wats the difference between a MBA and a masters???

Also wer did u do ur MBA... I was looking at the Ivy league uni's... mostly Harvard... thats wer I wuld love to do my MBA!! :jive:

i got mine back in march! are you doing a bachelors or masters?

btw, have you applied for accommodations yet?
I'm definitly going to Bath Spa! Education Studies leading to PGCE primary is my firm choice, and Education Studies (without the PGCE year) as my insurance choice (lower grades)! I'm moving to Bath in June though, so got a couple of months to settle in and make some friends! Anyone else going to Bath Spa or studying Education?

Nah, I'm hopefully going for BAC! ^^
It's kinda complicated! So I live in France and on the invitation they put 4:30 GMT. Because of daylight savings, the UK is at GMT+1, but I wasn't sure whether they were conscious of that distinction. I went on at 4:30 UK time (5:30 France) and I didn't see anything telling me to join the chat, so I thought, "oh well they must have literally meant GMT", which is in an hour. So I came back an hour later, only to discover that the chat was finishing in 5 mins!

They apologised for the discrepancy though and apparently they're doing another one, so I'll have to join that one! ^^

Haha, yeah well just so long as I got it! Bachelors, you?
Yeah I have, I applied for Norwood, it looks like it has a nice price/quality ratio. I didn't want to be slumming my first year, and I think first year uni is funner when you aren't living in luxury, so its pretty much perfect! What about you?

Haha, yeah! ^^ Finals? That sucks! Mine are in 6 weeks, so beginning to feel the pressure! But I get my results the 2nd of July, which is like a month and a half before the brits, so thats really cool! It also means that I can confirm my accomodation before everyone else! :colone: ^^

Yeah well they actually post the transcript online, so you can just skim read it whenever you've got time and get all the info you need!

Whoops, I dunno why I said BAC (its actually the acronym for the french exams) I meant BAF! ^^

Btw, what exams are you studying for?
