Uni interviews

what can you expect at an architecture uni interview
This will vary between universities. You should ask universities directly for more information about what happens at their interviews.

There is general guidance on the following link regarding interview prep:

For architecture, you also need to be prepared to talk through your portfolio and how you developed your pieces.
Hi there,

Interviews might vary from uni to uni but I can tell you about my interview.

You will probably have been asked to hand in a portfolio of artwork for an architecture degree. During the interview you may be asked about your process and to talk about specific pieces of artwork you completed. You can talk about your inspiration, your methods, the meaning behind your work etc, and what you learnt from doing it.

You will be asked about any experience you might have, why you want to study architecture, why that university etc. Mine also included some examples of existing buildings, whether I knew of them or what I thought they might be/ where etc. It is asking for your intuition on buildings and what you can gather from them so I recommend doing some reading around architecture styles.

Good luck with the interview!

This is what it says on the course web page:

Your entry qualifications should ideally include Mathematics or Physics, together with an Art or Design subject.

If you don't have either, have a look at the following thread:

And consider joining the applicant chat thread for 2024:
