no trains on the 25th?

How come there are no trains all day long in all UK, im quite surprised.. I know its christmas, but how do people travel if they want to?

Yup, car. If they are really rich, taxi.
They travel before or after Christmas Day.

I think it is a nice thing. My uncle is a train driver and often works things like New Year's Day, so it is nice to know they get at least one of the bank holidays off. :smile:

If you want to travel, you could drive, get a very expensive taxi, walk/cycle. I would be incredibly surprised if there was any sort of public transport in operation on Christmas Day itself. :smile:

Some buses run on a "Special Service" i.e. limited routes and jacked up prices. No trains on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day.

Air travel never stops, though. You can fly on Christmas Day.

There are trains on boxing day, in Scotland anyway.
