Sometimes. They will say when they make the offer whether this will drop if you firm it.

I think it depends on what course you are doing. My offer is reduced for business analytics with a year in industry to AAC instead of ABB so I think it just depends.

i applied for marketing management and they said if i firmed them my offer would be reduced from AAB to ABB

Lancaster university can make lower offers to applicants who place them as their firm choice, however this does vary each year and is dependent on courses. If you would like more information on the offers for your specific course, i would suggest emailing [email protected] as they will have more knowledge of this area.
