They asked partnership schemes on their own n that comes under re-urbanisation so you never know lol

Do you want me to send you my notes on it? I've got quite abit on it.

yes please!!!
Does anyone know what they might ask for planning and managment issues in urban areas? :/
Can someone explain how I could interpret the Theory of tectonics within my Case studies:
Japan Earthquake
Haiti Earthquake
Montserrat Volcanoe
Mount St Helens Volcanoe
??????????
how the CBD and inner city become vacant as a result of peripheral and out of town area growth, need to know causes and characteristics; like cheap land price, greater flexibilty, less pollution attracting people out of otwn and stuff like that.........its basically why they need regeneration projects... x

Sorry to disappoint, im exactly the same! Can anyone help us?
Planning and management issues: These two concepts should also be applied to each of the four urbanisation processes (urbanisation, suburbanisation, counterurbanisation and re-urbanisation). How do planners and managers within cities respond to the processes and their effects? What do they put in place as a consequence of the occurrence of urbanisation proccesses?

i know how did u find it (:

just checked june 11 question "With reference to examples, assess the degree to which the level of economic development of a country affects planning and management in urban areas. (40 marks)"

hopefully wont come up !

for plate tectonics it could be intrusive activity, tsunamis, impacts/management of volcanoes

globalisation - growth in the 21st century, NIC growth, small question of trade + aid and maybe an essay on TNCS.

world cities- hopefully an essay on own of town retailing

it was okay the exam, didn't like the gender question, how did you find it?

and thanks those seem about right, i dont think i've noticed an essay on TNC's even though i think i'd prefer it to be on the EU.

for the essay on outoftown retailing do you have a plan at all??

i have no idea how i would get 40 marks for it
I'm doing conflict 25 mark, pt and weather what should I concerntrate on tomorrow?
Expression of conflict
Multi culturalism
International conflict
Causes of conflict
Pt theory
Tsunamis
Volcanos or earthquakes more likely to come up????
Intrusive landforms
Minor extrusive landforms
Tropical climate and itcz
Anticyclone

Ok I've literally written the whole syllabus what do people think? More volcano or earthquake based? Or both?

For out of town retailing, will the question be more about the issues they cause?

I heard everyone hated gender, I thought the exam was real good but it needs to be longer.....plus my hand died.

im deffo not gonna do a globalisation essay...unless its on trade or aid lol.

I don't have a plan for the essay, but made general notes about out of town retailing centres and whats good + bad about then. need to go into detail tho.

and decentralisation isn't it like why out of town centres have grown =\ well here are some possible reasons...
1. Increased personal mobility rise in car ownership and personal wealth.
2. Easier access to edge of town locations with improved motorway network.
3. Cost of parking in city centre compared to free parking at out of town location.
4. Congestion of city centre location.
5. Changes in behaviour the all day shopping experience, including entertainment for the family. The ‘socialisation of shopping’.
predictions for ecosystems short questions?

do you think on the short wather questions they'll ask on global climate change? because i swear they've asked that not long ago!?

Also.. this may sound stupid but how does hot spots support the theory? I am confused because they dont follow plate bounderies:confused:

Because the Hot spot within the Pacific ocean that forms the Emperor sea chain requires the Pacfic plate to be moving, hence why we have the oldest volcanoes further away, and the newest volcano is the one which is forming due to the hotspot.

As the Pacific plate is moving this proving the theory of continental drift originally suggested by Wegner.
Also what are predictions for world cities?
