I want some Takoyaki

Is there any fast food chain/supermarket in the UK that sells Takoyaki?

FWIW, Takoyaki is fried squid/octopus in balls of batter, and is a Japanese delicacy originating in Osaka.

I tried some in Japan recently, but now I am home, I would like to very much try some again. I am not holding out much hope of finding any, though.

PLEASE HELP

I know of 2 restaurants in Manchester that sell it. The various Yo-Sushi chains have it, as do the various Samsi restaurants, the best known being on Whitworth Street.

I think Kyotoya in Withington may also serve it, although I can't give you a definite answer on that. They also do a takeaway service too.

Unfortunately, I don't think any of the oriental supermarkets in Manchester sell it. Although I know you can buy the ingredients to make it at the Japan Centre in London.
If you really crave it then try making it yourself? The only real specialist thing you need to hunt for is the pan itself. The batter is made with cake flour (actually pretty much any Japanese recipe involving batter will ask for cake flour) and dashi which can be found at the supermarket. Same for the octopus.
Thanks for the advice, but I do see that it is for sale at Yo Sushi branches. I will go to London Paddington station later in the week and treat myself.
