I'm planning to apply for 2015 entry. (For mathematics at Kings)

If everything goes to plan I'll have done A level Maths, A level further maths and AS level advanced further maths and got a good grade in STEP I, II and III.

I wouldn't worry too much about GCSEs, I only have 8 (5 A*s) and got in.

Haha, I don't really know how I got them, I was probably given someone else's sheet on results day.

I know, I love it! My nan did her degree in French and I've got some family there so they kind of want me to study it but I've always wanted to do English

:woo:

I'm not too worried about GCSEs because my year failed (around 20% pass rate or something)

My early AS and A2 is what I'm worried about!

Yeah you should worry about that

It's not the end of the world if your UMS isn't perfect though.

Maths should be over 90% after I resit C3 but my C2/M1 drag it down.

Make sure you get the course right. Otherwise you probably won't get in, and if you did then you'd probably be miserable.

For Philosophy then I read this book as some motivation when deciding whether to apply. I'd highly recommend it (cheap version here if you can't find it in a library). Of course you'll want to read other things as well before making such a major decision, but that's one place to start
