Help with art and design course requirements

Hay everyone

I have abit of a problem, I looking for a career change and going back into education. My goal in 3d computer animation in university but as I have no qualifications in any art of design subject or any above GCSE I ve been told thats where i need to start because it will help build a portfolio for uni.

So I have been looking at an art and design foundation studies diploma, is this a course I will be able to get onto with no previous education in art or design or will i need to start at a level 2 course :frown:

The course asks for a portfolio of 'personal creative work' (as does the level 2) of which i have none. I ll be going back as a mature student does this make a diffrence to anything?
