Does it matter where you do your LPC?

I'm currently trying to decide where to study for my LPC and can't find enough information about whether firms care where you studied.

As the SRA monitor the LPC stringently I can't see why it should make too much of a difference and as I will be self-funding I would love to save the few thousand pounds difference.

In context I am looking at a 2:1/1st from Leeds and have a fair bit of work experience/extra-curriculars. I also am not looking for a TC with big commercial firms.

I'm looking at Leeds Beckett/Nottingham Law School/MMU for the LPC.

Basically I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this?

If you have a TC, then not really.

If you don't, then you are possibly looking at the strength of the careers department more than anything else.

Just my experience, but BPP and College of Law had careers departments whom I found to be absurdly optimistic. Kaplan seemed to be exceptionally competent and well connected.
