The object distance, U, and the image distance, V, for a concave mirror are related to the focal distance, f, by the formula
1/u +1/v = 1/f
U is a random variable uniformly distributed over the interval from 2f to 3f. Show that V is distributed with probability density function
f/((v-f)^2)
and state the range of corresponding values for V. Obtain the mean and median of V.
Ive done up to the range, getting the range to be between 3f/2 and 2f but i dont know how you would get the mean or median?
