Great example of double standards.

And this is news how?

Had a journalist been fired for gunning down and killing eleven people it may be a bit more relevant.

Double standards obviously. If you depict the prophet of Islam as looking like osama bin laden, then why did he fire this person for anti semitism? Incitement of hatred is different to mockery. In the cartoon of the prophet of Islam he is not inciting hatred towards muslims, just like the cartoon of sarkozy converrting to judaism, was in no way inciting hatred towards jews, instead it was playing upon jewish stereotypes EXACTLY like the magazine has depicted muslims.

Judaism is a religion. Before any starts saying it is a race, it must be noted that there is no genetic correlation between Ethiopian Jews for example and Ashkenazi jews.Obviously there is a bias here. People only believe jews are a race because some believe they are all descendents from the children of Israel- lol ok... So you want to bash religion but accept an impossible religious idea. Anyways I challange anybody to argue that this incident was not a form of "double standards".
Can't you tell the difference between libel about a living person, and drawing a long dead paedo?

...liiiiiiiiiibel.

Old mo' doesn't really have that issue.

Albeit that said, they and private eye and the like mock politicians all the time, often making potentially libelous comments in jest, so if the magazine can hide behind satire that cartoonist shouldn't have been let go either.
