Joint Honours - Yay or Nay?

I'm torn between pursuing chemical engineering or acturial science as a career and ive recently come across a university where i can study both.
However, would this be a disadvantage when i start to look for employment, or would I be able to apply for an Acturial position as well as a Chemical Engineering position on equal terms as someone with a specific Act/CE degree?
Basically, will I be at a disadvantage when it comes to finding a job?

Such a degree does't exist, as there are no engineering joint honours. The closest you'll come to such a thing is an engineering degree with a few modules of, say, a modern language, or business.
