Could I choose an A level + BTEC course???

Hi, I'm in a bit of a pickle.

I'm currently in year 12 and haven't done so well in my GCSEs but did well enough to get into sixth form and do BTECs (begrudgingly!). I was talked into it.

I now have changed my mind since I have experienced a full week and a bit, now I have realised that I dislike one of my BTEC courses.

I got a C in French and I could do the A level in French but will they let me whilst I retake my English language GCSE. My courswork was fine but I can't resubmit that in unfortunately. :'(
