I'm currently doing a degree in Journalism but I'd really like to work in the film industry in the future as well. Things like directing, screen writing and coming up with music video concepts is what I had in mind. Will I have opportunities as I work with media and technology?

Easy peasy! I did a weeks work experience at BBC Scotland last October, and the one thing they kept drilling into my head is that they never stayed in the area of media they studied/begun with. Apparently it's very rare too.

For example, the gentlemen who does the dubbing over for documentaries started off as a producer. And the producer for Sam and Mark started off as a researcher for BBC Bitesize.

In summation, it is very easy to move about in the media.
