Teaching with tourism degree

Can I ask are you able to teach secondary if your
Degree is in tourism?
You could link it to Geography? They ask that your degree has minimum 50% link to subject to be eligible.
If you have Geography at A-Level minimum , you could do a conversion course before you start your PGCE.

Call the 'Get into Teaching' gov. line (free) and ask them. They're very helpful.

You could always teach Tourism in a college!?

UCAS has 3 current vacancies:

Tendring Teaching School Alliance: Leisure and Tourism: 2QVH
Canterbury Christ Church University: Leisure and Tourism: FXVC
(Uni of Warrick) The Polesworth School: Leisure and Toursim: 2P5G
(edited 7 years ago)
Uni of Bedfordshire - http://www.beds.ac.uk/howtoapply/courses/postgraduate/next-year/secondary-leisure-and-tourism

But remember that very few schools teach Tourism at all, and certainly not from Year 7.
Its mostly an FE College subject, and therefore overall job opportunities will be limited.
