There'd be nothing wrong with it IF the father had some underwear on.

My thoughts too - but it is still quite a touching image.

Yes, because we know the history behind it. However, the OP asked us to simply judge the picture, not the story. So I don't get why some people get mad at those who say it looks inappropriate.
I think it's beautiful.

What's wrong with him not wearing underwear?

It's just that I wouldn't feel comfortable being stark naked around children (or anyone other than a partner really), especially if they were as old as the boy shown in the picture.

Why on earth do people think it's appropriate to post naked pictures of their children online. I wouldn't be too happy if my parents had done that when I was little. There's no privacy.
I mean, who's sitting in the shower naked with their naked, sick child and thinking. "I better photograph this and share it with the world"?
Weirdos.

I think the article is an important thing to read, if you are to understand the picture.

Perhaps but the only reason why the image became 'viral' is because some people couldn't be bothered reading the description.

? What even... You can't even see anything? It's not exactly 'child porn', **** my life.

What the hell? I never said you could. A naked body doesn't equal porn, but it is a naked body, and that of a child. You don't have to agree. Did you just ignore the second half of my answer for the fun of it? As I said, nothing wrong with the guy sitting with his kid, even if they are both naked. What I take issue with is the mother taking a picture and putting it online, as if we need to see that. That's not fair on her child.

I don't understand how people are having a problem with the father being naked. Was he meant to sit in the shower fully clothed? He was there to comfort his child as the vomit and **** was washed away, not every dad would sit through that.

It's sad how the image has such negativity surrounding it, yet further down the post its highlighted that a mother naked with her child receives overwhelming positivity.

The child is sick ffs. The father is being a damn good parent.
Women want there equality,

Let's give them same length sentences and consequences as men.
Well what I think is weird is the fact that this picture was taken at all but having said that... If it's by the child's mother fair enough she's probably trying to put across the situation: one, how sad it is to see the poor sick child and two, that she's proud of her husband for being a good dad and doing everything to help the child to get better. I suppose in the sense that it challenges what we think about men and their caring role as parents and the fact that it's quite arsty the lighting the vulnerability of the child etc ... then I understand why it was taken but still if I was the mum (if that is who's taken it) I'd be more concerned about my child than photographing the situation but yeah...
Fact is as the BBC article demonstrates, if it was a women cradling her child you'd get much more positive reaction, when it's a man it's somehow inappropriate. Now personally I wouldn't share an image like that with the world, but the actual event occurring is not wrong/inappropriate/disturbing etc.

It kind of disturbs me- the father should maybe put some clothes on.

Do you normally shower with clothes on?

I'm disturbed by the fact that they decided to photograph it. Nobody has any decency anymore.

This is an interesting article I thought some people might be interested in.
This photograph of a father holding his son in the shower has been shared tens of thousands of times on Facebook in the last fortnight. But over the same period it's also also been taken down by the social media platform more than once before ultimately being reinstated each time. Why?

Really, I can't see anything wrong with the picture. Just a father holding his son? Please read the article, it explains why the father is holding his son (In short, he was ill, and he was using the water to keep his tempature down, and wash away any sick.)

Its neither. Who gives af what people think
I definitely wouldn't say it was beautiful. It's a bit much, to be honest. :erm:
