200 word article for journalism degree

I have applied to London Met for their Fashion Marketing and Journalism degree and their Beauty Marketing and Journalism degree and have been asked to write a 200 word article on recent events that have effected my local area for each of the courses. I was wondering what type of thing others wrote about if applying to these courses? Did you relate it to fashion?

Hi there!

I applied to study Journalism at London Met myself, so you're in luck! In December I submitted a 200 word article, on an event which effected my local area. I choose the implications of Brexit and how it shall effect the area;Got full marks for it! Received an offer shortly after.

So just think of anything in recent months or even the past year that has effected your local area for both. I really hope this help, this was a very stressful thought process for me!
