MA Fine Art 2017

I just got rejected for the MA Fine Art course at Leeds after my phone interview and I am absolutely gutted as I thought the course and the city would be perfect for me :-(
I'm not sure why they've rejected me yet as am in the process of requesting feedback, but I 100% want to start my masters in Sept and so I was hoping someone could help me in suggesting similar Fine Art Master's courses I could apply to?
I basically don't want to stay in London, which is a bit of a problem as most arty courses are in London, but I'd much rather be up North or in the Midlands somewhere
I specialise in digital installation - mostly work with photography, photoshop, digital collage etc.
Please help!!!
Deciding what course is right for you and where you will be happy and meet the requirements is personal and requires some research. No one can do this for you. You still have time so make a list of everywhere that offers the course and start comparing courses and narrowing down where you can realistically get in. Feedback will also be helpful if you can get it. Good luck!

Hi Alice,

Have you considered Birmingham City University? Our MA Fine Art course is firmly founded on the consideration of art practice in whatever form it takes, so digital installation would fit in perfectly!

You would be based at Birmingham School of Art (which is in the centre of the city and a short walk away from a number of galleries including Ikon and Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery) and taught by a highly professional staff team, doctoral researchers, technical demonstrators and artists in residence.

There's also lots of opportunities to go on international trips and as a Masters students you'll be encouraged to visit regional and national cultural centres on a regular basis, including independent and alternative spaces.

You'll find more detailed information on our course page but please feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions!

Kiran,
The BCU Team
