BTEC Nationals Computing 2016 is awful

I am currently doing the BTEC Level 3 in Computing (2016) course and it's :innocent:

ing stressful. In addition to assignments we have to revise for these really tough exams which we have no idea if we will pass because the only resource is this great big text overloaded 30 quid book. Only today do I find out that if we don't pass we can't go into year 2 until we pass the exams in January. Fail that, and that's it. Wtf can I do for 5 months? I generally just hate the amount of content we have to know and the lack of resources. Anyone else with same issue?

Im not teaching this yet, but can tell you that you get two opportunities to sit the exam, so query your tutor about when you will be able to resit it.
As it is brand new there isn't a great deal of exemplar work available yet.

I'm taking this course this year with the Unit 2 exam in June. Any ideas on what the main topics could be? The spec has some weird points like system diagrams and data structures which I can't really see how they would do anymore than like a one mark question on.
