First steps:
• Get strong GCSEs, including English, Maths and Sciences, if you haven’t taken them already - with AS-Levels being phased out these are even more important.
• Get AAA or above in A-Levels (including Chemistry, and at most universities you need Biology, too) or equivalent.
• Get lots of medical work experience to help your uni application.
• Complete UKCAT/BMAT aptitude tests if required for your chosen Universities - apply based on your strengths!!
• Complete a medical degree (5-6 years).
Following Graduation:
• 2 years paid Foundation training in the NHS.
• 2 years Core Surgical training.
• 5-6 years Speciality training in plastic surgery.
