Computing

I am in year 9 and i am certain of taking computing but can somone tell me what skill i will need i can use python and a bit of java script. Also how difficult is it and how much coding is needed.
I doubt you'll need any experience going into it. I did the old gcses, but I went into computing with no coding experience whatsoever and came out of it with an a*.
You'll be fine, and if the spec's at all similar to what I did then being able to use python will give you a serious head start.
Don't worry about having any previous knowledge - Computing courses at any level are usually taught in such a way that somebody with no previous knowledge can pick it up - this is certainly true at GCSE and A-Level, it's also true for degree level at quite a few universities too.

With that said, giving yourself a headstart if you're interested will make your life easier. Any programming language you've used before will help (although there's a lot more to CompSci than programming, but it's usually a big chunk of any CS course). Success in a subject like Computer Science often depends upon a bit of repetition - so if you already know some of the concepts, then the second time you meet them in your GCSE course, they'll be easier to grapple with.

If you're interested, and you have spare time, there's plenty of online resources which you can use to get yourself up-to-speed:
