What is the importance of textbook in your opinion and Where would you get the resources from if the textbooks are too expensive?

It depends on what kind of learner you are... if you learn best by reading and synthesizing information from a textbook, then a textbook would an important tool to help you in understand the material of the course. If you learn better by going to lectures and asking questions in open hours etc... A textbook may not be as crucial as a point of reference.

If textbooks are too expensive, I usually just try to search for the PDF version online... if not sometimes on fb groups/eBay, you could get textbooks cheaper second-hand. Messaging students in upper years of your course may help as well as they may be trying to get rid of their first year etc... textbooks.
